WHO WE ARE

Experience Sled Dogs was founded by musher/enthusiast Joe Fessler of Minnesota who has owned and operated a kennel of pure-bred Siberian Huskies since 2006. Starting as a skijorer with one dog, he quickly began participating in a variety of activities related to sled dogs, increasing his experience, the size of his team, and his involvement in the community. Currently, Joe and his three huskies, Aiya, Brr!, and Lupie, reside in the Twin Cities area, where they train, race, learn, educate, and share their experiences!

OUR MISSION

Leverage the sled dog experience to provide educational opportunities

Educate the public about the animals, the community, and the culture associated with working sled dogs

Promote humane treatment of sled dogs, good stewardship of parks and trail systems, and environmental responsibility

Provide unforgettable sled dog expieriences

SKIJOR MEETUP

Are you from the Twin Cities area?

Do you have a dog and a pair of cross country skis?

Come out and have fun with your best friend, and stay active during the winter. This informal Meetup.com group requires no obligations and no cost to you. The group tries to host fun run events throughout the year and its calendar features events hosted by other Skijor and Sled Dog organizations in the area. Joe from Experience Sled Dogs is a co-organizer of this Meetup group.

Skijorers of all ages and experience levels are welcome.
